James Heffron – Managing DirectorJames is a career board director with a history of leading operational transformation programmes and incubating new businesses.
As the founder of Saigei he has been concerned with evidence-based reform of core patient services, and most recently with cross-economy reform and cost saving programmes. His approach is “whole economy”; he engages and serves clinicians and managers as they confront and solve problems. He is a patient advocate with a special interest in care at the end of life and care for older people.
He learned his operations and competitive strategy skills structuring and incubating new ventures; reconfiguring organisations post-privatisation; and recovering failing service enterprises. His negotiation and supply chain development skills were earned helping blue-chip organisations outsource core business functions at a time when providers had limited offerings for large enterprises.

She has developed deep expertise in making clinical reforms that change the experience for patients and the cost of good care. This includes: providing home-based end of life care; creating community based alternatives to acute admission; and putting in place agreements and processes that facilitate the smooth transfer of patients across the health and social care boundary.
